Crystal Palace Park Theatre will provide a high quality mix of national and international work with the aim of surprising audiences through its design, staging and content.

Wherever possible the brief to companies will be to work with the space in order to create visually stunning and exciting content unique to the performance space and affording a truly memorable experience.

The outdoor feel and celebratory nature of the environment will encourage participatory and site specific productions with a sense of community and well-being.

The aesthetic will develop the recent rise in popularity in outdoor productions at summer music festivals this can include all art forms willing to risk and challenge audiences from dance to drama to family entertainment.

Indeed the atmosphere created will be more akin to a festival or carnival than a night at the theatre.  The programme will be curated from a variety of artistes and companies including regional UK touring companies, visiting companies and West End shows with the capacity to adapt to an unusual venue.  At the same time outdoor performances staged in other parts of the country will be invited to Crystal Palace Park Theatre.

Throughout the summer audiences will be taken on a journey to new experiences.

Shows will run for ten days or longer interspersed with 1nighters of comedy and music.  Family shows during the day will transform into cabaret shows at night

‘Secret’ events will satisfy the curiosity of audiences seeking new and unusual experiences.

Crystal Palace Park Theatre will soon establish itself as one of the must-visit venues in London for locals and visitors alike.
